Olena Gallery

Located in the heart of Hāwī in North Kohala on Hawaiʻi’s Big Island, ‘Ōlena Gallery serves as a dedicated showcase for Big Island–based artists. With a mission to provide a welcoming and authentic space for local creators to exhibit and sell their works, the gallery is deeply rooted in the island’s artistic and cultural community. The gallery’s name and identity are inspired by the ‘ōlena flower (turmeric), symbolising creativity, growth and a connection to the land. The logo itself—a stylised depiction of the flower—was designed and painted by Honolulu-based artist Susan Grant, lending the gallery both a custom visual signature and a tribute to Hawaiʻi’s natural heritage.
